The Emir of Bungudu Emirate in Zamfara State, HASSAN ATTAHIRU on Sunday stressed the need for political leaders to show more commitment to the quest to dividends of democracy to the people to help reduce poverty and improve their well-being in the Country.

The Emir gave this assertion while flagging off a four day Medical outreach at Zubaru Bawa Women and Children Community Hospital in Bungudu LGA organized by the member-house of representatives representing Bungudu/ Maru Federal Constituency, Zubairu in collaboration with a faith-based organization that targeted 1, 500 indigent residents in the constituency.
The Emir lauded the efforts of the Federal lawmaker in providing this health intervention and other several projects that he undertook in the constituency to ameliorate the challenges being faced by the people.

The President of the Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria Professor Ibrahim Adekunle represented by Dr. SALISU ISMA’IL said the free four day Medical outreach will focus on treating the different diseases plaguing the people in the area and cases they can not handle will be referred to a tertiary medical facility.
