The private house of the Minister of State, Federal Capital Territory, FCT, MARIYA MAHMOUD, has been gutted by fire with nothing left to salvage in the property.
The FCT Fire Service confirmed the incident, at her resident located at No. 9 , Justice Roseline Ukeji Close , Asokoro adding that the first floor of the building was razed in the fire but no life was lost.
The media aide to the minister, AUSTINE ELEMUE , who confirmed the incident Sunday, said the cause of the fire outbreak was being investigated.
He said Response from fire fighters to the location was slow as the house was completely razed before their arrival.
The cause of the fire has not been ascertained .
