A number is students of the Nasarawa State University Keffi have been reportedly killed in a stampede.

The stampede was said to have occurred after students scramble to get food palliatives provided by the state governor, ABDULLAHI SULE.

The number of casualties is yet to be ascertained.

The situation has led to an unprecedented chaos among students both on and off the campus.

The palliatives were brought in on Thursday, March 21 and assembled in the convocation ground, Venue for the disbursement schedule for Friday, March 22.

Sources from the state government said, it was an intention to ease the hardship on students, following the recent high cost of living.

The university authority is yet to release any official statement, neither is the state government
