Nollywood actor JUNIOR POPE ODONWODO, popularly known as Jnr Pope, tragically lost his life on Wednesday along with three colleagues in a boat accident.
The incident occurred on the Anam river in Anambra State while the actors were en route to a movie shoot.
Earlier, Jnr Pope had shared a video on Instagram showing himself on a boat crossing the river.
Unfortunately, the boat capsized, resulting in the drowning of all four actors.
The news has thrown the movie industry into mourning.
His body alongside others have been recovered and rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed death.
The Delta State Chairman of Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, EMMA ONYEMEZIEM confirmed to Newsmen that the corpse has been deposited in the morgue.
Junior Pope ODONWODO who was born on May 7th 1984 is survived by his wife , JENNIFER AWELE and three sons.
