Authorities of the Nigeria Immigration Service on Saturday wrote to the Department of State Services DSS, Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Intelligence Agency, and other law enforcement agencies in the country that it has placed the former governor of Kogi state, YAHAYA BELLO on watchlist.
This was contained in a memo dated 18th April 2024 and signed by Assistant Comptroller of Immigration DS UMAR, (Suspect Index) For; Comptroller-General of Immigration Service.
ACI UMAR wrote, “I am directed to inform you that the above named person has been placed on watch list. 2. Suffice to mention that the subject is being prosecuted before the Federal High Court Abuja for Conspiracy, Breach of Trust and Money Laundering vide letter Ref; CR; 3000/EFCC/LS/EGCS.1/TE/V 1/279 dated 18th April 2024, if seen at any entry or exit point, he should be arrested and referred to the Director of Investigation or contact 08036226329/07039617304 for further action. 3. Meanwhile, the Inspector-General of Police, KAYODE EGBETOKUN , has ordered the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Police Mobile Force, PMF, to withdraw all personnel attached to Yahaya Bello.
In a wireless message, MOPOL 37 Lokoja is directed to strictly comply with the order.
