The Confederation of African Football,CAF on Monday cleared VICTOR OSIMHEN, MOSES SIMON and WILLIAM TROOST EKONG of doping violations as the anti – doping test conducted on the trio turned negative .

CAF had earlier picked Nigerian international, VICTOR OSIMHEN , for a random drug test after his sterling performance against Cameroon in the Round of 16 match on Saturday, January 27, of the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Côte d’Ivoire.

The Napoli striker was fouled for the penalty that gave Nigeria a 1-nil win over the Ivorians.

OSIMHEN however put in a ‘battering ram’ performance against the Indomitable Lions as they won 2-nil in a last-16 clash on Sunday.

He set up the first goal for ADEMOLA LOOKMAN and was a constant menace for the Cameroonians, before he was replaced by PAUL ONAUCHU late in the game.

OSIMHEN’S only goal came in the 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea in their first fixtures.

The current CAF Player of the Year is expected to lead the line for the three-time champions when they face Angola in the quarter-finals this week.
