The Director of Gaza hospitals, MOHAMED ZAQOUT says the 31 newborns, who were evacuated from al-Shifa to Tal al-Sultan hospital in Rafah, will be taken to Egypt on Monday.
He said they will be taken to Egypt on Monday for more specialized care.
ZAQOUT said the babies suffered from dehydration, vomiting, hypothermia and some had sepsis because they hadn’t received medication, and they had not been in “suitable conditions for them to stay alive.
Four babies died before the evacuation, he said.
